We have come with the score for each movie using a totally indigenous formula. We have taken the help of top consultants from across the globe, some ‘MBA’ grads and also the pan wala near our place (he has other ‘formulas’also :D)
We are using a weighted average method to come up with the rating for each movie. The variables involved in the formula are – the average ratings for the movie, the number of votes for the movie, minimum number of votes required to come on our ‘Touring Talkies Top 10’ and finally the mean vote across the all the movies (at that point). Hey, I have not copy pasted this from somewhere (I only do that in office ;)). This is original stuff man.
You see… everything in life is ranked from international cricket teams to local crap shows on TV. It’s all about your performance relative to others. But as far as our motto in life goes – we like to live life ABSOLUT !!!
